I lost the instructions yonks ago!!
Thanks Maria and Heidi - it will certainly be easier if I can put it straight in oven as I hate the idea of the extra washing up (Don't have a dish washer!! )

It depends on the make of the slow cooker, some say you can't. To be honest I couldn't tell you if mine says it is okay to put in the oven or not but I do anyway and so far it's always been fine, but I'd never put it in a really hot oven just in case.

Thanks Sharron - the cobbler bit is 35 minutes on gas mark 4 so hopefully will be ok

I never put the glass lid on the slow cooker if I am putting in the oven as you quite rightly say the knob will melt. I just cover with tin foil works for me:hiya:

I would google the make/model and see if there is a helpline you can call/email - no use popping it in the oven and then finding it ruined!

Be careful - I stupidly put mine on the hob and the pot cracked - I had to buy a new slow cooker as a replacement ceramic bowl was too expensive.

Hi Launa
How did you get on? Like others have said it's best to find out from your manufacturer first as some pots can go in the oven and others will just crack. You can often download the instructions online if you look.
